A few weeks ago, a young Sault girl named Alexandre Lesage, age 7, was in a car accident and sustained a major spinal cord injury. As a result of her injuries, she will need significant support to address her ongoing medical and living needs. Here are the details…

A benefit Halloween Party is being held in her honour, hosted by local band Coverfly, at the Croatian Hall on Halloween night. The community is encouraged to support this fundraising effort by purchasing tickets and attending the event or making donations in support of Alexandre.

“The more help we receive from the community the better life we will give Alex”, said Alexendre’s parents, Arlene Jordan and Joe Lesage. John DeLorenzi, commenting on behalf of the local band Coverfly said “Our band is proud to support community fundraising events and in particular those involving children in need”. The family will have considerable immediate and future expenses to support Alexandre’s needs. “(I) love that the community has stepped forward to help our family”, said Arlene.

The event will be co-hosted by Sault Female Hockey / Wildcats, as Alexandre played for the Novice Wildcat team. In addition, Ryan Shryer, is coordinating overall fundraising for Alexandre and would gladly take donations even if you are not interested in going to the event.

Tickets for the Halloween Party can be obtained by calling John at 206-1077 or through email at delorenzi4@shaw.ca . Additional information on the party is on Coverfly’s Facebook page.

Donations can be made by contacting Ryan Shryer at 705-255-6266 or Janet at 705-971-3201.
